Dear Heimdal macOS Customer and Partner,
We’re excited to announce the availability of a new macOS Release Candidate agent version, 3.3.2 RC. You can download it from the Guide -> Download and Install tab of the Heimdal dashboard. This latest version will also be gradually deployed through our self-update mechanism in the coming weeks.
Key Fixes and Enhancements:
-
Stable Internet Connection with DNS Security – Endpoint
Resolved an issue causing sporadic internet disruptions upon activating DNS Security – Endpoint. You can now enjoy stable internet connections with this module enabled.
-
Improved Synchronization for 3rd Party Patch Management
In isolated cases, the Heimdal agent previously did not correctly synchronize with Group Policies, affecting the detection and installation of patches and 3rd party software. This has been corrected, ensuring a consistent and reliable patching process.
-
Accurate OS Updates Display
Addressed an issue where the agent did not correctly retrieve available OS updates resulting in inconsistent GP syncing and subsequently preventing them from appearing in the Dashboard. OS updates now display accurately within the product views of the Heimdal dashboard.
-
Reliable “Push Install” for 3rd Party Apps
Fixed an issue where “Push Install” was not consistently working for certain 3rd party applications. Downloads and installations now complete successfully, as expected.
Additional Enhancements:
-
Enhanced Asset Views: Duplicated entries in Asset views have been resolved.
-
Improved Sorting Functionality: Sorting is now available for the standard applications list in 3rd Party Patch Management.
-
Updated Module Name: The PAM module has been renamed to PEDM (Privilege Elevation and Delegation Management) for clarity.
These improvements are designed to increase the stability of Heimdal’s macOS modules and enhance the overall user experience.
