When working within PASM, content transfer behavior varies depending on the type of operation and the direction in which the content is transferred. Please review the guidelines below for details on text copying and file transfers.
1. Local -> Remote (Local Machine to Remote Session)
When transferring text from your local computer into the remote session, specific character limits apply to each individual paste action:
- Character Limit: Each paste action supports a maximum of 4096 characters.
- Content Trimming: If the copied text exceeds 4096 characters, PASM automatically trims the content. Only the first 4096 characters will be pasted into the remote session.
- Data Discard: Any remaining text beyond the 4096-character limit is discarded and will not be transferred.
- Unlimited Actions: You can perform an unlimited number of paste actions, but each action remains capped at the first 4096 characters.
2. Remote -> Remote (Within the Remote Session)
For copy and paste operations performed entirely inside the remote session:
- No Size Limits: There are no known size limits for internal remote transfers.
- Standard Behavior: Large text blocks can be transferred freely, behaving exactly as they would on a standard Windows machine.
3. Remote -> Local (Remote Session to Local Machine)
When copying text from the remote session back to your local machine:
- Fully Supported: The transfer is fully supported with no identified size limit.
- Unrestricted Use: Large amounts of text can be copied from the remote environment to your local clipboard without restrictions.
4. File Transfers
When transferring files into or out of the environment:
- Size Limit: File transfers are subject to a maximum limitation of 2 GB.
