Syncing the Google Authenticator app
In case you receive the Invalid authenticator code error, please reopen the HEIMDAL Dashboard page in a new tab and try again. If the generated code still does not work, you can Reset your 2-Factor Authentication and reconfigure it.
If resetting the 2-Factor Authentication does not generate the correct codes, the issue could be caused by the fact that the Google Authenticator app/extension is not synced correctly. To correct this situation, you can try the following:
For mobile:
1. Open the Google Authenticator app.
2. Tap the 3 dots button (top-right corner) -> tab Settings -> tab Time correction for codes.
3. Click Sync now.
For Google Chrome/Mozilla Firefox:
1. Click on the Google Authenticator extension icon, Settings (rotary knob).
2. Click on Sync Clock with Google.
