Below are the 3rd party applications that were tested by the Heimdal Security team for implementation within the Patch & Asset Management patching system, but that could not be added because of different issues.
Adobe Reader XI, Adobe Acrobat Reader DC - if one of the two applications is installed on a machine, Patch & Asset Management is not able to install or patch the other Adobe application (eg. if Adobe Reader XI is installed, Patch & Asset Management cannot install or patch Adobe Acrobat Reader DC; if Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is installed, Patch & Asset Management cannot install or patch Adobe Reader XI).
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC / Adobe Acrobat Reader DC MUI - Patch & Asset Management cannot patch custom installations.
Greenshot - the application opens the developer's page in a browser after installation. The application cannot be patched while the previous version is still running.
Microsoft Teams - the application installs in the AppData folder of each user, thus requiring user permissions. The Thor Agent deploys the 3rd Party Applications using the NT Authority\System user and thus cannot install the Microsoft Teams in the AppData folder.
OBS Studio (64-bit) - the 64-bit version sets its registries in the 32-bit path, within the Registry Editor and thus it cannot be detected by the Patch & Asset Management module.
Plantronics Hub Software (the EXE Installer) - the EXE Installer cannot be patched by the Heimdal Agent. We only deploy the MSI Installer.
Shotcut (64-bit) - the 64-bit version sets its registries in the 32-bit path, within the Registry Editor and thus it cannot be detected by the Patch & Asset Management module.
TeamViewer (MSI Installer with custom settings) - the Patch & Asset Management cannot patch customized version of TeamViewer.
Zoom Client for Meetings (the EXE Installer) - the EXE Installer does not allow silent installation, while the application (installed from the EXE Installer) cannot be detected by the Patch & Asset Management because it installs in the Windows AppData folder. The EXE Installer does not require admin rights to be installed.
